Severe Weather Nashville - Spring Edition

Nashville sure has a lot of severe weather alerts.

May 7: Severe Thunderstorm. There was a brown runoff flowing down the street, like a stream all its own. 

Apr 6. Flood Advisory due to heavy rains,

Apr 5. Severe Thunderstorm Warning. And when you get a campus mail, it must be serious. 

Dear students,The Davidson County area is under the threat of severe weather today, April 5. A line of severe storms is expected to move through Middle Tennessee this afternoon into this evening. 

Mar 31: Storm, Wind Advisory, Tornado Watch. A Bad thunderstorm in Nashville but 59 tornadoes have ripped through the southern states and left behind incredible damage. 

Mar 28: Frost Advisory. 

Mar 24: Wind Advisory, Thunderstorm, Tornado Watch.
Tornado missed us but crazy thunderstorm at night, pounding rain and blinding flashes of lightning. 
But the town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, badly hit with even the water tower falling over - its Mayor stating that his city is wiped off the map. Just terrible.

Dear students,  The Davidson County area is under the threat of severe weather tomorrow, March 3. A line of strong thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes is expected to move through the Metro Nashville area between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. noon tomorrow. A high wind warning for middle Tennessee will also be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Vanderbilt Severe Weather Warning System will be activated if a tornado is detected and is forecasted to reach campus within 15 minutes. If you hear the sirens or receive AlertVU notices, warn others of the severe weather conditions and follow the procedures listed in the Tornado Emergency Guide.

Summer has started though its not even officially summer yet. 

Thu Jun 1: A sudden evening thunderstorm. 

Sat Jun 3: Sweltering weekends Today's High at 93

Sun Jun 4: Sweltering temperate of 97 most of day. Then a sudden " Pop Up Storm"; thunderstorm at 4:30pm.
