(a humorous skit on the backyard deer seen in from my Nashville home)
How Two Mischievous Deer and a Fawn took over a backyard!
One sunny afternoon, two majestic deer with large antlers, Antler McDeerface and Staggy McStagface, stepped out of the woods to grub on some clover grass in somebody's backyard.
The humans started snapping pics like crazy.
As they chowed down, the two deer got to talking.
Staggy: Yo, what's up with all these humans? They act like they ain't never seen deer before.
Antler: For real, every time we come out here to eat, they be taking pictures like we famous or somethin'.
Staggy: Maybe they just appreciate nature's beauty.
Antler: Beauty? They just want to show off pictures of our racks, man.
Staggy: Right? They should be taking pictures of our cute little tails instead.
Antler: (grinning mischievously) I got an idea.
Staggy: I'm listening...
Antler: We'll charge 'em for photo shoots. And then use the money to buy more clover grass to eat.
Staggy: (laughing) That's genius! We could call ourselves 'The Flyest Deer in the Backyard' or somethin'.
Antler: Antlerazzi! That's what we should call our photo shoots.
Staggy: (chuckling) I'm feelin' it. Way better than 'Deer in the Headlights.'
Antler: Word. Let's make sure we look fresh for the next batch of humans.
As the humans continued to snap away, the two deer struck various poses and exchanged more witty banter, thoroughly enjoying their newfound fame as backyard celebrities.
Then, a lil' fawn popped out of the bushes. "Aww, look at the baby deer!" one of the humans exclaimed.
Antler and Staggy peeped the fawn and grinned. "I guess we're not the only ones in the spotlight," Antler joked.
Staggy quipped, “Yup, we should make it official and call ourselves 'The Deer Squad.'”
The fawn asked, "Why are these humans taking pictures of us?"
Antler: We famous, lil' homie! We the stars of the show.
Staggy: And you part of the squad now.
The fawn was hype. "For real? What's next?"
Antler and Staggy exchanged looks. "We thinkin' 'bout taking over the backyard," Staggy said.
The fawn was surprised. "How we gonna do that?"
Antler laughed. "Don't trip. We got some tricks up our sleeves."
And with that, the three deer hatched a plan to take over the backyard and keep their reign as the flyest deer in the 'hood. The humans were in for a wild ride.
